Tributyrin is a feed additive for gut health based on butyric acid. Excess n-butyric acid and glycerol are synthesized by the esterification process through catalyst participation. The purification process removes impurities such as water, free butyric acid, glycerin, and catalysts. The liquid tributyrin is mixed with the carrier, and the adsorption process is used to make the feed additive product. The 60% content of powdered tributyrin has excellent dispersion, insoluble in water, and is easily soluble in organic solvents, and its pH is neutral and stable at room temperature.
According to the latest butyric acid studies, butyric acid has the following physiological functions:
1. Stimulate the growth of intestinal villi and improve digestion and absorption capacity.
Butyric acid is distributed in a concentration gradient in the intestinal tract. Stem cells in the crypts, through a large number of divisions and multiplication, increase the length and density of intestinal villi, and reduce the concentration of free butyric acid in the deep crypts, thereby reducing stimulation.

2. Promote the differentiation of intestinal cells and the maintenance of the intestinal mucosal barrier.
Butyric acid induces intestinal cell differentiation into different functional cells. Builds and maintains the intestinal mucosal barrier.

3. Promote the expression of tight junction protein in intestinal epithelial cells.
Resist antigen invasion, prevent bacterial translocation, and immune response.

4. Immunomodulation, inhibition of inflammation.
Under the stimulation of antigens such as foreign bacteria, dendritic cells, monocytes, and macrophages will secrete a large number of pro-inflammatory factors, IL-12 and IL-2. IL-12 induces T cells to secrete interferon-gamma, tumor necrosis factor. IL-2 induces systemic inflammation. Butyric acid stimulates monocytes and macrophages to secrete a large amount of IL-10, and IL-10 can reduce the secretion of IL-12, thereby achieving the effect of inhibiting inflammation.

To let customers have a more intuitive understanding of the functional characteristics of butyric acid feed additives, we have made the following comparison.

Through comprehensive comparison, we summarize the product advantages of feed-grade tributyrin
The content of butyric acid is relatively high, and the release mechanism is clear. The site of action is wide. Good stability and high-temperature resistance. Odor-free and easy to use.
The particle size is moderate, and the feed mixing uniformity is high.
Through some cost-reducing and efficiency-enhancing experiments in poultry and aquaculture, we have shown the practical application effect of tributyrin.
We use a farm of a large breeding group in China as the experimental base. The experiment was compared with adding other products to the basic diet (30% corn, 22% soybean meal) and adding tributyrin. Add 1.4kg/t tributyrin to the basic diet, lose 5kg/t fat and reduce about 40Kcal/kg metabolizable energy. See the table for detailed comparison results.

The comparative results of the test show that adding 1.4kg/t of tributyrin in the diet can reduce the use of 5kg/t of oil in the formula, thereby improving the production performance of broilers, and reducing the cost of making meat, and the gross weight of each chicken profit increases to improve economic efficiency.
At the same time, we have conducted energy reduction experiments on meat duck breeding. Please refer to the following table for the results

Through experiments done in poultry farming, we have summarized the benefits and benefits of using tributyrin for poultry farming.
- 1. Adding 500mg/kg tributyrin to the diet of broilers can increase the height of villi and reduce the depth of crypts,
Increasing the chorionic gland ratio can significantly improve intestinal morphology.
- Tributyrin can optimize the balance of cecal microorganisms in broilers, adding tributyrin can inhibit the number of Salmonella and E. coli, and increase the number of lactic acid bacteria.
- 500mg/kg tributyrin can reduce the feed-to-weight ratio by reducing the average daily feed intake of broilers without changing the average daily gain, to improve production performance.
In addition to poultry farming, tributyrin also has very good functions and effects in another animal husbandry. Please refer to the table below for the test results.
